Welcome to Meg's world

The more I read and listen into women’s cycle health and the connection of womb and the body, the more in tune and aware with my cycle I become. I am still navigating my way through some things right now, and it is my womb that has been whispering to me, “something is not right” within my body.
She is getting louder now as I hadn’t been listening to her. Now I know to listen. These symptoms I was taught to believe to be “just apart of menstruating” is all wrong. These symptoms are communication to tell me my body is out of balance somewhere.
I am re-learning so much and I am just bursting to share this with our young girls and their mama’s (grandmothers, aunts, caregivers, fathers).
Continuously I find myself asking, “why is this not taught in school?” If it were, every girl would be confident in their cycle which would lead into other aspects of their life.
My 10 year-old daughter is now blossoming, and as her menarche draws near, I think back to my own menarche, and how much I didn’t know leading into my first bleed (menarche). I remember a friend telling me how her family celebrated her first bleed with a special dinner out and wondered why I wasn’t celebrated at this time and how I would have loved to have been celebrated too. I was 10 at the age of my first bleed, so I intend on re-learning as much as I can and sharing this with my daughter right now as I receive it.
My intention is to give her all the tools, guidance, knowledge and love to be able to celebrate her as she blossoms into menarche with excitement and courage to also share with her friends and then pass on to their children.
And so, with joy I will watch my daughter, Blossoming into Menarche, and hope you will follow along, if you feel called to, as I will share my re-learnings along the way.
Meg
